OH MY GOD!!!!
I just saw 300 last night and it had so many things flowing through me it was ridiculous! I learned how to fight with a shield and spear long ago and the Spartans were doing it right! The beauty of the shots, the muscles, and force of will in the men. It was gorgeous.

Many are upset over how their cultures were characterized, but you must remember that this is based on a graphic novel, not a documentary. It isn't like any country or culture has a perfectly clean history anyway.
